1-Why aren't other colleges and universities dealing with budget cuts as we are? I heard that Norfolk State and Virginia State were exempt from the cuts. Is that true?
2-Please explain the structure of the budget.
3-Why are we still building buildings? Why can't we use that money to fund the cuts? Why is the General Assembly talking about funding a $1 billion capital improvement plan at the same time that we are cutting budgets? The Center for the Arts will cost money to maintain and operate. Shouldn't we wait to build it after the budget crisis is over so we will have the funds to operate it?
