- Guests: Newly Elected Senators; President Paul Trible and Rosemary Trible; Executive Vice President Bill Brauer; Chief of Staff Cindi Perry; Deans Breese, Colvin and Doughty, and incoming Dean Underwood; Provost Padilla and Vice Provost Deiulio, International justice mission, Lora Cooper, Brooke Hollingsworth, Abby Swauger.
-Students from the International Justice Mission chapter on campus informed the faculty about their organization
-Deans Breese, Doughty, and Colvin spoke on the issue of the timing of AR and Dossier Submissions
-President Bardwell brought a PowerPoint that will be shown at the all-faculty meeting.
-Vote on formation of an ad-hoc committee to design a best-practices evaluative measure for assessing University administrators
-Banned from Campus committee - no formal outcome
-Constitution and Bylaws committee made recommended changes and successfully passed them and made them part of the University Handbook
- plan to move forward to create the faculty and staff memorial site
- Senate Budget committee secured regular funding for the Senate as part of the University appropriation from the state
-Senate subcommittee on Digital Measures successfully cleared up many of the persistent problems with the system
-Senate Elections committee successfully forwarded new committee rolls to the provost
- Faculty pay committee shared the results of their faculty survey
- Closed session to consider FDGs andFaculty Excellence Awards
- Emeritus resolutions (Mazzarella, Pendleton, and Bartels) were passed
- Discussion of sabbatical applications
- handbook changes 11 and 12 discussed
- election of a new SEC
