Three academic departments are dissolved:
Biology, Chemistry and Environmental Science
Accounting, Economics, and Finance
Management and Marketing
Four academic departments simultaneously come into existence:
Economics (ECON, Dr. Vacchris, Chair)
Joseph W. Luter III School of Business (BUSN, Dr. Shaltayev, Chair)
Molecular Biology and Chemistry (MBCH, Dr. Webb, Chair)
Organismal and Environmental Biology (OENB, Chair to be soon elected and appointed)
The reorganizations are administrative and designed (1) to facilitate faculty increases in the life and physical sciences upon the move-in to Forbes Hall and (2) to facilitate the reemergence of the BA in economics major and the external accreditation processes of the business program.
