Dear CNU Community,
Thank you all for your concern about the fire at the library last Wednesday. The fire was on the roof above the reading room of the Mariners' Library. The fire department and our security were able to move everything out of the way so no furniture nor materials were damaged. The reading room did sustain some water damage, but restoration work began 2 hours after the fire was put out. The collection is now open by appointment only until the reading room is restored.
CNU administration, plant and security – both CNU and Mariners’ - were incredibly responsive. I personally am grateful for all they did.
