In December 1973 the Collegiate Civitan Club of Christopher Newport College created a time capsule “to be opened December 2010.” It was buried under the floor of the old Student Center between Discovery Cafe and the entrance to Library Services and was marked by a bronze plaque. Before the Student Center was demolished in 2007, the capsule was carefully removed and placed in a vault for safe keeping until now. Please join with the University Community as we open the time capsule and establish a new time capsule for the next 50 years*.
