Dr. Laura Puaca is an Assistant Professor of History and the founding director of the Hampton Roads Oral History Project. She earned her Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she specialized in modern U.S. history. Her academic and teaching interests focus on the history of social movements in the United States.

Nathaniel Bechtel is a senior majoring in theater and is also pursuing a minor in history. He plans on pursuing stand-up comedy and writing after graduation.

Tyler Bemis is a senior majoring in history at Christopher Newport University who plans on graduating in spring 2013.

Erik C. Branting was born July 28, 1993 in Herndon, Virginia. Branting attended Herndon High School and is currently attending Christopher Newport University as a sophomore. Branting holds a passion for reading and history as well as astrology and philosophy. He is also a member of Greek life, being an Epsilon member of the Phi-Nu chapter of Psi Upsilon.

Randell Bronte-Tinkew is an undergraduate student at Christopher Newport University, where he is pursuing a major in history.

Samantha Cain is an undergraduate student at Christopher Newport University. She is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in biology with a minor in philosophy and religious studies.

Emily Caldwell is an undergraduate student at Christopher Newport University, where she is studying history as a part of the Master of Art in Teaching program. She is also working to earn minors in childhood studies and Spanish.

Sydne Call is a sophomore majoring in history at Christopher Newport University.

Megan Canny is an undergraduate student at Christopher Newport University where she is pursuing a bachelor's degree in history, with a minor in political science. She is also pursuing a master's degree in education with the CNU Master of Art in Teaching program and hopes to get a position as a high school history teacher when she graduates with her master's in 2015.

Charles Dailey is a history major at Christopher Newport University and is presently seeking his master’s degree in teaching history.

Alanah Daniels is a senior majoring in Spanish at Christopher Newport University.

Carissa Fitchett is business management major and history minor at Christopher Newport University. She is a spring 2013 intern for the Walt Disney World Disney College Program. She intends to graduate in December of 2015. 

Jemal Harris is a graduating senior in the Department of Economics at Christopher Newport University.

Shantel Hudgins is a junior majoring in political science at Christopher Newport University.

Rachel Marsh is an undergraduate student in the Department of History at Christopher Newport University. She is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in history and a master’s degree in elementary education.

Frank D. Pelli Jr. is a native of Vienna, Virginia but has lived in Williamsburg, Virginia for nearly eighteen years. Pelli attended Our Lady of Walsingham Academy and currently attends Christopher Newport University as a senior in history and political science. He enjoys his time sailing and reading any book relating to history.

C.J. Priebe is a senior at Christopher Newport University, currently completing a degree in history with minors in film studies and religious studies.

Kelly Russo is an undergraduate student at Christopher Newport University, where she is completing her bachelor’s degree in history and a minor in English literature.

Sharell Stewart is an undergraduate student at Christopher Newport University. She is pursuing a bachelor's degree in biology.

Gabe Thomas is an undergraduate student at Christopher Newport University, where he is pursuing a major in history.

Ebony Tyler is an undergraduate student at Christopher Newport University, where she is studying psychology with a minor in civic engagement and social entrepreneurship.
